Already embraced by many generous donors, the expansion of the IRMC endoscopy suite is one of our top funding priorities. With our community’s support, IRMC is elevating its battle against preventable GI cancer and those that can be most difficult to diagnose in their early stages.
When project champion and interventional gastroenterologist Dr. Ashley Canipe began explaining the need and the potential, donors were quick to join the cause.
First to step up were donors Marlynn and Bill Scully who issued a challenge grant of $2.275 million toward the $6.15 million goal. Their matching challenge was inspirational to more than 120 donors.
Dr. Wayne Hockmeyer, Chairman of the IRMC Board of Directors, pushed us across the challenge grant finish line with a gift in honor of his late wife Dr. Mary Hockmeyer. Achieving the match enabled IRMC to begin the aptly named Scully Endoscopy Center while we continue toward the project goal. The center is scheduled to open in early 2018.
To support this important initiative, we invite you to make a gift today.
